From Swinging London and Carnaby Street, Minis to mini skirts, from Mods and Mary Quant to bikinis, Brigitte Bardot and Bond movies, not to forget The Beatles, from Pop Art to Blow Up and fashion photography, Vidal Sassoon, Beehives and the Bob, the Sixties revolutionised youth and street culture with its groovy blend of art and music creating a global fashion phenomenon that continues to deeply resonate today. And in the middle of it all was a skinny girl named Twiggy. Twiggy, the first ever super model, changed the way models were to look forever, exchanging buxom babes for androgynous waifs. A fashion icon in herself, Twiggy has come to symbolise everything the era stood for. We felll in love with Twiggy then and it seems we never stopped. We are all still “In Love with Twiggy”.
